just watched The Void and boy howdy if you ever need a reason that practical effects is a worthwhile investment just watch this film
like this film is like a modern day The Thing, and with 40 years of practical fx advancements it looks so fantastic

sometimes I think about the DC You Omega Men with Kyle Rayner as the white lantern and how it was a fantastic story with amazing character development for Kyle that actually acknowledged his Hispanic heritage and how DC is basically ignoring that the story ever happened 🙃
