For the Countdown to Halloween tonight, I get to cross one off the Week of the OF THE list *and* the "I can't believe I haven't watched this yet" list: George Romero's Season of the Witch, on @Shudder! This should be some fun early 70's witchy weirdness!
Time's up on another painting. I'll have to come back and paint her again when I can give myself more than 2 hours!
Dishes are done, cocktail's in hand, and The Randomizer must've heard me complaining about getting too many thrillers and not enough spooks and has punished me with House of Fears, on Peacock! It looks awful! 😬 I'll have to cross some bitter waters before I return to the sweet.
If you're excited about the new Hellraiser flick and want to check out some earlier David Bruckner flicks, don't overlook his first flick, The Signal. It's a damn fine debut, and features the AJ Bowen performance that turned me into a fan of his!
If you'd like to celebrate HP Lovecraft's birthday without celebrating the man himself, I *highly* recommend grabbing The Ballad of Black Tom and giving it a read. It's short enough you can burn through it in a sitting or two and worth every minute.
@JeffWhitmire1 Oh, one more! Butterfly Kisses is one that's much, much better than I thought it would be. It's another mockumentary style.
@GeisterDavid I was really inspired by Greg Manchess' book Above the Timberline as far as a picture-book-for-all-ages-but-really-grownups! It'll never be anywhere near as pretty as his but it's an idea I've been kicking around for a long time & I'm getting antsy to start on it.
It's been awhile since I did a quick illustration for #TheLastDriveIn, but l'm gonna feel pretty dumb if Habit isn't the Larry Fessenden flick. @kinky_horror
