Seeing his army is about to be routed, Blucher leads a cavalry charge to hold back the advancing French, and buy his men time to withdraw in an orderly fashion. His horse is killed in the action, and he is presumed dead
Blucher played a leading role in toppling Napoleon in 1813-14, fighting at Katzbach, Mockern, Leipzig, Brienne, La Rothiere, Champaubet, Vauchamps, Laon & Paris. He co-ordinated closely with Wellington throughout the 1815 campaign, with their strategy being to fight combined
Moving away from conflicts particularly associated with Wellington, @RobinThomas1000 produced an excellent volume on the logistics behind the British campaign in Flanders in the 1790s
