One thing I really agree with Totally not Mark on is his point on DBS's fights not facilitating the stort, instead them feeling like they are stalling the main story. Their's barely any Plot progression in the fight chapters, DB/Z used the fight scenes to tell amazing stories.

DBS's Goku is so badly written and Out-of-Character that it makes me wonder if the Toei writers/Toei even read the DB manga. In DB, he was so supportive of his son's dreams but in Super, he literally grimaced after getting to know that Gohan's preferring job over some Tournament.
