i had the pleasure of providing art for luuna-sama's kokoro yohou cover \o/
go check it out!
clo did such a good job at animating the movie oshiete senpai
I always wanted to post a proper introduction cuz I noticed some don't dare approach me ಥ_ಥ
And uh, I hope you can get to know me better and vice-versa even though I don't post often (I can be pretty noisy in chat if I'm not busy)
But I'm brutally honest at times so oops 👉👈
And you're done!
This is basic commercial coloring for anime style art, but not a full illustration as it doesn't have the hard stuff like angles, backgrounds, perspective, proper light source etc
But it's enough for you to enjoy drawing without the unnecessary headache-
The touch up can be easy/hard depending on if you know where might be lacking and how to improve them
I highly recommend the the color correctors such as the hue/saturation/tone/brightness/contrast sliders
Filter layers can be used to change the overall mood of the piece as well
Not a big fan of coloring clothes as they can depends on a lot of other factors that will impact colors you choose.
So I went very basic this time
So long as you keep the 'no same hue shadow' you should be fine.
Every subtle brush strokes counts
Ah yes, eyes :'>
There are soooo many eye tutorials because of how versatile and fun it is to color different types of eyes
So go and play with different tools as well
Hair is usually my favorite to play with so I spend a lot of time. I can't stress enough how important pen pressure control is here
Press down hard first, then lift your pressure and lightly swipe in the direction you want to gradient
It's basically a trad painting technique too
It doesn't matter if you start from the skin/hair/eyes etc really
Remember to play with colors, so long as you don't stay on the same hue of the color wheel, your colors should look interesting enough
(Also get use to opacity lock, and clipping layers so your color doesn't spill
Coloring tips are here \o/
More like how I color, as there are endless styles of painting digitally. So this is more personal than the last one, which was just the basics
I still have a long way to go, but I guess it's a nice way to record my current progress
