I need to start learning how to backgrounds otherwise a lot of my art pieces are gonna look off

I did a quick challenge today where I put my phone in grey scale and chose a random color palette and this was the end result! The colors are a lot more nicer then what I was expecting

Since I don’t know what to draw, I decided to redraw and old drawing that I did for my sister. I definitely prefer this one over the old one
