messner-loebs' impulse isn't as good at balancing silly goofy stuff with heavy stuff as waid's but he IS pretty good at the silly goofy part.

possibly controversial opinion, but i kinda like bart with the short hair. like, actually short, not a sad, volumeless imitation of his real hair
