that was fun. very simple and straightforward cartoon about a wandering warrior and his relationship with columbo. and some robots i guess

columbo doesn't like gundam

columbo being very sane. although he's right

for a robot cartoon it is good to see a generous amount of non-robot action

a natural born orator he is not but for an audience that hardly needs an excuse for violence it does the job

some of the hawkins scenes look like he hasn't totally shaken the bugs style from his davis/mckimson stints

hawkins evidently animated the first scenes in "homeless hare" and it sure is a treat to see his style meshing with jones's

google helpfully provided me with a similar image from a different anime ("great pretender") that illustrates how a middling funny face compares to a good funny face
