Subdued tones are often the hardest to make look good, since you have to put in much more nuance to make them work, everything needs to be carefully arranged. Not sure how will it worked though, always learning. Done in #Heavypaint

Since I’m now surrounded by snowy mountains in my new hometown I guess learning to paint snow and rock is a must. I’m still in love with bright blue shadows. Painted in #Heavypaint

Waves and water are so difficult. Originally wasn’t very happy with this one (and it was so difficult to paint), but I like how it holds up when viewed from a distance/zoomed out! #Heavypaint

My little figure drawing group on #Discord is hosting a live #drawing session with model via video tonight!
19:00 CEST for two hours. It’s a lovely little group and a great way to break through our isolation, come by and sketch with us! 😌

I’ve tried this one before a while ago and it was a desaturated muddy mess – I’m definitely seeing improvements in terms of my colour perception now, which feels amazing! Created in #Heavypaint

Trying to combine architecture with nature, it can be a challenge to switch modes between hard surface accuracy and the randomness of nature and do them both justice. Painted in #Heavypaint.

Aerial perspective is everything, so much depth just through subtle value and hue shifts. Tried to do the reference justice, learned a lot while working on this one. Painted in #Heavypaint.

These two really make me want to travel again. I miss visiting beautiful architecture as much as just spending time in a cabin somewhere - just seeing the world beyond my own four walls. Hopefully I’ll get the chance soon. Painted in #Heavypaint.

This is the second time I painted these two. They were very wonky the first time around, almost a year ago now. I like repainting things because it shows me my progress and I look at it with new eyes. Painted in #Heavypaint.

Some animalistic vibes between all the landscapes. Again playing with contrast of saturation, it’s very satisfying to pull back most of a painting and then create small islands of really intense colour. Painted in #Heavypaint.
