creating this pop art series was so creatively challenging but also rewarding! combining elements from some of my favorite art/media pieces and adding my own personal flair while portraying such cool saints was honestly so fun and I definitely plan on making more eventually 💕
as I mentioned a while back, I also got inspiration from Star Wars haha - specifically the temple mural on Lothal in the final season of Star Wars Rebels!
fun fact remember how i mentioned i was watching star wars rebels as one of the references? well this is the specific reference that i got inspiration from when drawing the halo/background on this illustration - the giant temple mural on lothal!
um hi so i did some more research into pop art style and aesthetics and i downloaded a new brush pack of screentone brushes so you can imagine i just HAD to experiment and see what would happen if i applied this new knowledge + tools 👀 and this is the result:
