Check out the evolution of his work from then...to now.

What's interesting about his work, too is that his style migrates and shifts between realistic and skewed cartooning.
And he's very gifted storyteller.

Even though he worked primarily in graphite, he did tend to work large in other mediums.

Still, would love to see some original art of his.

When SANDY PLUNKETT is ON...it's a glory to behold.
I've known about his work from his inks on Dave Stevens' The Rocketeer from a long time ago.
His work has a classic sensitivity to it similar to Michael Kaluta, Charles Vess and the like.

I think I picked up the first book of Love by FEDERICO BERTOLUCCI several years ago and instantly fell in love with his work.
Very lush...and great color.

We must never forget the work of AL COLUMBIA. When I first saw his Biologic Show book from Tundra, my nerves were twisted.
Inspired by early cartoons of the 20th century AL took them in darker direction.

Time and again, I'm in awe of French comic artists. They push me to be better, to try new things. Guys like ROBIN RECHT don't seem to settle for less.
His version of Conan is pretty damn cool.
