Enjoyed the first book in this series by French author @IsabelleBottier and illustrator Hélène Canac. Cassandra's life is experiencing big changes now that her mom is in love and ready for two families to blend together. She's also an animal physic ready to use her gift to help.

Another book from Spain. Author Tania García with the beautiful illustrations by Núria Aparicio. A book for children and parents to help be understanding when others are angry. A book to help with social emotional needs of children. (2/2)

Next book is by author @maribethboelts and beautiful illustrations by @andominguez. Kaia is fearless except when it comes to 🐝🐝. Fun book that shows us how Kaia overcomes her fear even after having been stung. Available in Spanish too! ❤️ For @twinoakscoyotes. (2/3)

I've been waiting to read the debut book by @Author_Cisneros and just finished it. Efrén's story is every child of undocumented parents who love their children so much they risk their lives everyday...son semillas. Gracias Ernesto por compartir Efrén con el mundo.

Second match in our book tournament is Love/Amor by @mattdelapena vs We Don't Eat Our Classmates by @RyanT_Higgins. Our 3rd match: Family Pictures by Carmen Lomas Garza vs Where Oliver Fits by @2dCale. Who will rise to the top in our house? We will know by this evening.

Yesterday's final WRAD author experience was with author @SusanSMTan and our third grade students @twinoakscoyotes. The students absolutely loved Dr. Tan's fun approach! Students asked some great questions and her answers touched many of our students. Thank you Susan & Cilla!

Emotions & trying to understand them is hard for adults & explaining them to children can be difficult. But thankfully writers are not afraid to write books to help w/difficult conversations. Author-illustrators Adam Rash & @EvaEland books are great to open up conversations.
