@DenizCamp Tried to find something from one of our books, but here's one from my feed. All the *lineart* that I've circled has colour holds.
JANE. Modern adaptation of Jane Eyre. The adaptation's okay, with some fine choices and some odd ones, but Pérez's art is what gives this book life. He bounces through styles effortlessly, and the compositions and body language are precise and immaculate. Worth a read for that.
For this one, instead of drawing it with lines, I tried to carve shapes out of light and shadow. Might come back to this reference and try other approaches. (I don’t know why, but Photos burnt out the edges of the previous upload.)
With this one, I tried to do a separate underdrawing/structure stage and then tried to do more expressive inks on top. Worked out surprisingly well.
