if you watch sarazanmai, you have to also watch REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA. Another """magical girl""" anime by Ikuhara. it's ALSO about sexuality, oppressive gender roles, and growing up. it's surreal and upsetting and beautiful. this show is iconic tbh.
