Sometimes I do art for myself. I like to play with watercolor + gouache or oil pastel. Lately I've been interested in experimenting with color and underpainting (when I have time).

Did some @FieldMuseum sketching for the first time in a long while. The hall of plants is such a relaxing, hidden gem.

It has been hard finding time/energy to art lately, but on Monday I had a moment when time and energy came together perfectly and I decided to get my #gouache set out and loosen up with color.

Meet Dinah! I played around with contrasting under-colors to make make the detail in the fur pop, especially in the white fur and learned more about color and texture in the process. Check out my insta for process pics.
