9. Wotakoi 5. guess who finally picked their comics up!! me. this series remains one of my great joys. love that fujita isn’t reinventing the wheel here, just telling stories about love and friendship with warmth and humor and great art
2021 release book faves: a marvellous light, winter’s orbit, fugitive telemetry, strong wine
meme is: last book read, last book added to tbr, last book bought, current read
technically my newest book(s) bought are latest on the tbh pile but i put the last thing i added to my to-read list here https://t.co/hE7PpMKGfW
48. A Marvellous Light. it’s been a long time since a book has tempted me to stay up all night reading it. this book is beautiful: in its prose, its romance, and the wallpaper in its homes. i loved every character i met, including the horrid ones. and—a magical house?just for me?
discovered this tapestry by Dom Robert in a catalog today and am entirely smitten. it’s “Cerf d’Hiver” from 1965
28. Witch Hat Atelier 7. it’s difficult to avoid comparisons to harry potter but i do appreciate that this series makes no bones about how complicated and flawed both its magical caste system is, to say nothing of the adults serving as mentors. i do love olly though
21. The Empress of Salt and Fortune. i’ve been meaning to get to this for what feels like ages so i borrowed the audiobook on a whim. i enjoyed it immensely, especially how it used objects. by the end i felt that i had read a huge, sprawling epic rather than a novella.
