Smith's ability to draw just the right amount of detail into each panel is a sight to behold. Even as he bounces between styles (that somehow all mesh together) you can see his deft hand at work with each drawing having no more or less detail than necessary to make it work.

Ignoring the existence of one insanely irritating character (looking at you Phoney) the cast of characters is so fun to follow on their journey, from the well-intentioned Fone Bone to the mighty Gran'ma. It's hard not to love the cast even as it grows with each passing volume.

Bone by Jeff Smith is a marvel of effort considering how dense and full of detail it is in both story and art. Smith delivers a story touching on magic, politics, responsibility, more within an overarching narrative that slowly unfurls over time.

One thing I appreciate about Invincible is that it doesn't shy away from the brutality of superheroism. When so many others go to lengths to make everything seem clean and sanitary, Walker leans hard into the violence to make you feel every punch and kick as much as the victim.

Half the fun of Invincible is the character moments scattered throughout, especially early on with Mark learning to handle his new powers and responsibilities. The little awkward and silly moments everyone has humanizes them and makes you appreciate each and every one of them.

Invincible by Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker takes everything you love about superhero stories and turns it to 11. A universe packed to the brim with loveable characters and an insane plot from start to finish, Invincible never lets up on the gas its entire run.

Fantasy Sports by Sam Bosma is follows an unlikely duo on an adventure where they are tested not in battle, but in literal fantasy sports. Right from the start Bosma’s art sucks you in and makes you believe that an ancient undead king can still take it to the rim.

And as we learn more about them, we also start to meet an outrageous cast of characters ranging from friend to foe. In a world where contract killing is legal, their hunters range from soccer moms with shotguns to a professional that streams his kills for his Twitch followers.

The MC's relationship with her (also app-based) bodyguard is half the fun as they have to survive each other alongside the swarm of killers tracking them down. Seeing their friendship both deepen and worsen over time gives heart to this nonstop adrenaline ride.

Crowded by Christopher Sebela and illustrated by Ro Stein and Ted Brandt follows a (seemingly) everyday woman who suddenly gets a $1,000,000 dollar bounty put on her head through the REAPR app, where everyone who wants a piece of the pie has a shot at her.
