I honestly think this was a clever pun in the English dub for CC x Lelouch fans. 💍

Quick aside: I cried 10 minutes after I left that panel because I realized suddenly JUST HOW MUCH I NEEDED TO HEAR THAT. I still want to cry....

Dir. Taniguchi’s response was that “the scene is short because Lelouch’s bond to Nunnally [and Suzaku] hasn’t changed. So we did not need to show a long scene.”

Me (to interpretor): So it is implied?

Interpretor: Yes.

I then asked Dir. Taniguchi what the status was of the Lelouch-Suzaku-Nunnally character dynamic because the movie did not focus on it for long.
