Several of the animal spots I illustrated for the book Zoobots by @helainebecker. These are small and used to illustrate biological principles alongside the robots that inspired them.

My illustration process: as you can see, with birrin I sometimes use a very simple 3D dummy to paint over for the basic pose. I then block in each distinct area with a random color before going into detail.

To celebrate the Worst Christmas Ever, here are some Skydrops: tiny quadrilatarians of southern forests of Chriirah.

Birrin from one of the resurgent Houses sailing up the drowned coast. Wind power is starting to be deployed in force in the new cities, as is the manufacture of composites.

The Shrike and some close-ups. Painted before I learned that Dan Simmons was a trash boy.

Anyone else who watches Western animation notice a lot of villains with antlers recently?
