Finally the volume ends with Ainz showing back up and his second fight with demiurge is only 13 words but yet it’s the best fight in the series. The twist the Demiurge was in control of the Sacred kingdom’s leader the whole time, plotting there destruction by a civil war later-

Pretty much the rest of the Novel is Neia and Shizu on a mission becoming close friends. There friendship is really cute and with Shizu flat out saying Neia is her favourite to Ainz which all but confirms Neia’s survival throughout the rest of the series

Volume 13’s first 2 acts are 2 long fights. The first is the sacred kingdom’s forces fighting off a gigantic army with Neia doing most of the work. Neia is eventually overwhelmed and killed. We them cut to Remidios fighting a impossible fight when she’s saved by Ainz

To respect Ainz and get disillusioned with the more and more insane Remidios who continues to discriminate against Ainz despite him saving thousands of there people when he literally just needs to “fight” Demiurge

The rest of the first half of this arc is great character building between Ainz and Neia, with him teaching her about the truth of conflict despite Remidios continuing her idealistic but impossible plans. The fact it’s all Neia’s POV really helps show just how fast she grows-
