"Change the Equation" for Magic: the Gathering's March of the Machines set. Man, all that Quandrix style overlapping magic was a beast to paint in oils. The Phyrexian text reads "Surrender to Perfection."

Disciple of Perdition, for Jumpstart 2022. This was such a fun assignment, I love making creepy characters and getting an opportunity to put in all those fun hidden references to 13 was a blast. And hey, is that cabin oddly familiar?

Verrak, Warped Sengir was one of those assignments that really hit into the vein of making the stuff you really have fun making while also making work. This one is for Dominaria United Commander.

My second and final card for Baldur's Gate, Far Traveler. This was such a zen piece to make, an anonymous figure in a moody landscape. Getting in all the little touches on the character made for some chill work days.

Some close ups and the painting on the easel. This will be headed up for auction soon!
My first card for New Capenna spoiled today, and it was my first chance to do some alt art! Playing in the Art Deco design sandbox was a fun challenge for composition and texture, and as a bonus I got to design the look of the character.

I'm so excited, my first Magic: the Gathering card was just spoiled! I went from collecting cards for the art as a kid during Urza's Saga to now having my art on them, child me would be so stoked.
More to come!
