@CLAMPcastpod Tone variant! The inspiration for this was the blown-out Xerox bgs of the comic. Fun, maybe silly, to draw emulating that style.

I'm interested in other ways like this stylization to capture something akin to photographic focus in ink rendered comic pages. How do y'all do it?

This scene is funnier to me left up to interpretation. Was dressing up/embarrassing Day Tayler's toll for helping him w Quin? Or was the grandma-appeasing photo Kappy's terms for letting her borrow the saree and for picking them up?
