My favorite book has to be the Rock Jaw one. It oozes a lot of Don Bluth vibes, the possum kids are my favorite characters, and Smiley Bone, of all characters, gets a ton of development, something completely unexpected. Speaking of, Smiley and Bartleby are totally me and my dog.

A treat I came up with Slapstick, more specifically its Instagram page, is the fact that each issue's cover, starting with Nº 0043, corresponds to a frame of an animation that is developed with each new issue of the webcomic.

As for more examples, I can only think of Gill from Street Fighter. Not an animated character, but close enough.
