Timelapse! :P
I was supposed to record from the start so you could've seen my struggles with the face shape but I forgot to record. :'))) https://t.co/M9eaQem95Z
But I only apply those in rendered/full blown/"clean" artworks.
My sketches on the other hand has this kind of style that I feel like I want to improve more
I find it messy but has this really cool effect of a "nice" mess.
Slap on colors and call it done. A "no-brainer" style
As seen in these recent artworks, despite me using variety of colors nowadays, I still do the same technique but with a mixture of soft and hard airbrushes.
I guess it can be called my own signature style now?
I've been using this style for 5-6 years, more prevalent since 2020.
The aforementioned contest entry I did back then:
I only did at least 1-2 layers of shadows (w/ 2 colors)
and with the power of the hard airbrush tool, I managed to put where the soft and hard areas are very quickly.
I still use this technique a lot more in my present odd jobs. https://t.co/HiLNvhM6WH
That one time in 2017 I won an art contest and one of the prizes was them drawing an OC of mine was an absolute treasure.
Thank you @/zeivainc!!!
I'm still at awe at the wonderful art I've received <3
2 hours later because I got distracted for like an hour.
also
I forgot I already made a redraw of this same one last year hec hec
I clearly I have no sense of vibrancy consistency
and colors lmao

I've been on and off in deviantart since but wow
Today's my deviantart anniversary it looks like.
12 years ago in 2010, was the first time I created my account and it took me a year (mar 2011) to submit a drawing.
case in point:
I colored random manga panels back in my hay day
2013 > feb 2014 > mar 2014 > apr 2014
I can't remember my settings on how I did it.
They were all in black and white, I didn't redraw lines.

I miss reading Hell's Kitchen, what happened with that series?
