Hurricane #Ian is in a race against time...the quicker it makes it to the Florida Peninsula, the more formidable it'll be. If it unexpectedly slows down and delays landfall, dry air and shear will lead to its quick demise.
Unless you are along the Gulf Coast, where the impact will be significant, the impact from #Ian for the eastern Peninsula will be much like daily thunderstorms. Why? A rapid collapse of its structure. Storms like Charley, Irma, Jeanne and Frances held together - opposite of Ian
