The intricacy of the close-up details in this artwork renders them akin to standalone paintings. The dimensions of this piece elicit a sensation of immersion, as though stepping into the painting with each work session.

This big piece is coming on strong. These Titanium White oil paint has one of the best consistency for highlights. The hog hair brush drag is simply amazing.

This is what happens when you leave paintings around the studio and you walk past them everyday. Sometimes they call to you. This was one of those days and I love it when it works out better than I expected. Also, they tend to leave me clues to make me excited to carry on moving.

Can’t resist the luminosity of ink on paper. Collage style vibes. The Japanese rice paper just gives the Arches Watercolour paper a different depth. Working really well here. Love the balance and push/pull factor of the forms here. The colour blends are pushed to another level.

Created 2 months apart but they look like siblings. We have one on the left that is more down to earth and the other a tad flamboyant. Don’t you all think so?

Finally, some Alzarin Claret to break the dominion of Mauve tones which was a little jarring for me after 2 weeks. These have better balance now. I am happy.

Painting on unprimed wood surface gives a whole new different experience compared to primed canvas. They way it reacts to the acrylic paint and the fluid absorbency rate. It blends in a very unique way. I will do an oil piece after this.
