Going through the archives before starting work on this year's Lunar New Year piece (Year of the Rat). 2017's Fire Rooster sets the bar high. Looking back, this was one of the first pieces my personal style really started to shine through.

Guys, my album drops today. Kidding, but I'm having fun w/ new textures and digital brushes from True Grit Texture Supply. Been using the same basic brushes for years. You don't need fancy brushes to make art...but kids...I'm nerding out w/ their inkers and screentones right now.

Printing day! Getting ready for #TampaBayComicCon.

Today I'm printing the 8x8 size of "Aura" onto watercolor paper. I print 2 to a sheet and cut them down using a ruler and razor blade. I also hand cut each backer board. Next step is to get them into sleeves and label them!

Gopher Tortoise - Continuing the FL animal series.

I get a silly thrill when we find a Gopher Tortoise burrow mound. Why does something so large & slow, with seemlingly useless appendages for digging, want to live underground? Still love 'em. #floridanatureart #gophertortoise
