Augusta Savage is an African American sculpture and teacher who is known as the queen of the Harlem Renaissance. She also worked hard for equal rights for African Americans in the arts. Many of Savage’s students would go on to become nationally known artists and advocates.

Vivian Maier is an American street photographer who sadly wasn’t discovered until she passed away and her photos were found in storage. Her portfolio depicts the many faces of Chicago and each photo tells its own story. Her work is now celebrated worldwide.
