the bedtime story was supposed to be for the child beast! they even made a cave so it'd feel more at home despite the boat's gentle rocking - but the thing is, chine hadn't been safe or comfortable in *so long* and all these pillows...

alright so you know how in the lion king the dad lion takes pride in the cub harassing the bird-attendant? not pictured but to be included in spirit is duvall woken in darkness to glowing eyes and a lot of teeth, yelling, and startling chine awake (who then has a big proud laugh)
