This hurt Parvati the Goddess of food & she disappeared. Soon earth became barren. Living beings started starving to death.

A day before Kali Puja Amavasya or Diwali, it is the day of Bhoot Chaturdashi or Naraka Chaturdashi.
It is said that on this day, ghosts come to the human world and the line between dead and live gets blurred.

भारत माता के विचार का जन्म 1875 बंकिम चंद्र चट्टोपाध्याय की रचना 'वंदे मातरम' से हुआ।
भारतमाता को पहला रूप दिया 1905 में अवनींद्रनाथ टैगोर की बनाई पेंटिंग ने।
इस तस्वीर में भारत माता भगवा साड़ी और हाथ में किताब, धान की पुली, माला और सफेद वस्त्र लिए थी!

When Shisupal insulted Draupadi, Krishna destroyed him with Sudarshan Chakra. In the process he injured his finger. Draupadi tore a piece of her attire & tied over Krishna's injurey to stop bleeding.
That's the legend of #RakshaBandhan
