Natsume Yuujinchou is back with two new episodes/movie, so we get new art! There are new posters in Animage and Pash, with the Animage poster illustrated by Orie Tanaka. I missed the 2021 calendar for this series, so this makes up for it a bit. 🏮

Great Pretender has a farewell spread in February’s Newtype, illustrated by Akiyo Okudo. Not as elaborate as some of the other illustrations, but so glad Newtype featured this show to the end!

Kemono Jihen posters and spreads in the February issues to kick off the series. One key visual, but Newtype and Animedia had new art work. Trying to watch it this week!

Newtype came with a Josee, the Tiger and the Fish Animation Point booklet that includes interviews with loundraw, original character designer Nao Emoto, and anime character designer Haruko Iizuka. Looking forward to an art book from this one!

Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie is hitting theaters this month, so Anan magazine included a feature with a very modern Tuxedo Mask. I think it's the casualness of the pose and the eyes that just make him cooler than ever. This back cover feature is 8-pages.

This Houseki no Kuni mini art book came with the limited edition volume 9, filled with all new illustrations. It’s about 32 pages and full color. Worth it if you can find it!

The art from Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited continues to surprise, with this latest piece on a poster in Animage Magazine. It’s great to see such consistently creative themes from this show! And of course more Daisuke and Haru 💴💸

Jujutsu Kaisen posters appear in both Newtype and Animage for the February issues, with a perfect Gojo and Itadori pairing in each. There's art inside NT I don't remember, but probably not new since there isn't an illustration credit. Either way, a good month for the series! 🪄

A3! Season Autumn & Winter posters prevail in the January issues. I'm always surprised at the consistency with which some shows get posters and others never do. Interested to see what shows that will be poster rich in the coming months (please be SK8 🤞).
