So, when a 3rd entry for a sonic game got cancelled, 01's living code (which idk how to explain) decided to use the rusted, dirty and scrapped new sonic model and decided to make it useful. So with that and a unused scarf from a unfinished and unknown character, it became 01.

Might lore dump something about 01 later.
