Random thing I think is funny: two of the members of the final villain team in Digimon Adventyre were both evolved forms of Betamon, the Digimon who was originally going to be the mascot before being turned down in favor of Agumon.

Cockatrices are the best monsters because there is no way to combine a chicken and a dragon into anything boring.
