@datagistips I haven't made maps like this with feathers in mind, but for some reason have been making them pretty feathery lately. The style I've played with has evolved over several years, originally being more like rivers, I think.

For the first time ever, my occasional fiddling with terrain representation has made a small decline in wackiness (i.e., subdued, inky colors), and I think I like it better.
