But look at Takao’s happy and proud face at the end! It’s true that Kai is the anchor of the team and pulls them up during their battles with his snarky advice, but when it comes to his own battles, I think Takao is the only one capable of being his anchor 🥺

Even Hiromi realises it quite late, only after Kai continues to struggle against Cyber Dranzer. And finally when Kai wins the match, Kyoujyu turns to Takao for reassurance. The two relatively smarter people also needed Takao's lead to guide them into understanding Kai's struggle.

Kai definitely need this wake up call, and I’m glad Takao is as aggressive as always because I don’t think Kai would’ve listened otherwise.
