Rat King is a huge meme among the devs: a macho wrestler who hip thrusts, is about gains and still manages to be a softie to his rat friends. It was a lot of fun to put him in all sorts of funny situations, including this shot here where he gets some pre-fight coaching.

I like this one, Raph is looking down on trouble like the night watcher that he is. The pose you see is a combination of several frames, mostly his close standing Heavy Kick and a left arm from some other animation.
It was a relief that I could use a lot of assets! 🙃

Here we have the real, genuine Turtle, Kirby! Because he loves to jump into the battle (like the TMNT did in the original Tournament Fighters game) I figured that speedlines would be appropriate. Luckily, there was a nice sequence in the game's story mode intro!

The reason Cheetah has green hair is because her original sprite had her hair colors mixed with her body colors, this severely limited the amount of color schemes she would have. This was my first color separating task, took me a couple of days iirc.

Oh my, that evil pink alien is covered in green stuff! That robot could use some tweaking, too. Just what happened?
Is such the fate of a low tier fighter?

P.S. I don't really care about tiers.
#TMNTXJL Random Saturday post, here are the old versions of the VS screen. The first one is a concept that never left the table: fighters would epicly attack each other.
The cool thing in the current version is that you can see the costume color you picked, it's a nice detail!🙃

Nona made one of my favorite pixel art pieces for Cheetah in our completely free, fanmade game called TMNT X Justice League, a spiritual sequel to TMNT Tournament Fighters. It's quite a scare!
Here's an angry cat video:

Enjoy!

Today's highlight is War, the fighter used by @MindGamesPro to win our first TMNT X Justice League Tournament! This event was a delicious kind of chaos, just like War's ending, and we hope to see more of it in the future!

The immensely talented @fauzy_zulvikar created two illustrations for TMNT Tournament Fighters 2--I mean, TMNT X Justice League!
These arts tell you about the game's story mode and Card Quest. Read all about it in this whopping double feature, and give Fauzy a follow!

Unlike the original Turtles Tournament Fighters game on the SNES, Rat King has his own ending in our fan game that is essentially the unofficial sequel! Also, it explains why Rat King looks a bit different than his usual self, watch and read!
