MAGICAL GIRL RAISING PROJECT
a series of light novels that focus on various magical girl battle royales. the ever-shifting POV keeps you guessing as to which characters will live or die, and since theyre LNs theyre easy to speed-read. the character design is super adorable.
POKEMON SUPER MYSTERY DUNGEON
this was the first mystery dungeon game i've ever *really* played, and i really enjoyed it. the characters and story are pretty simple, but they're charming and i found it easy to play a lot of this game. definitely my fav pokemon game since x/y.
FISH FLY FEVER
a perfect little mobile game, with easy to pick-up, addictive gameplay. it has great music, adorable art, and cute design. it even has a fun paint mode!
KASE-SAN AND MORNING GLORIES
another shoujo-ai manga! kase-san is about a meek girl who falls in love with a cool, athletic girl at her school. it's lighthearted and sweet, and makes for a cozy, pleasant read. it gave ore monogatari! vibes which is always a good sign!
GIRL FRIENDS
this shoujo-ai manga follows a shy, bookish girl who is befriended by a popular and charismatic classmate, and explores both their friendship and their feelings for one another. it has its angsty moments, but is very sweet overall.
BKORPP
a hilarious actual-play d&d podcast w original music cues, terrific DMing, a unique modern-ish(?) setting and fun, memorable NPCs (though the PCs are equally fantastic). bkorpp is my favorite non-zelda thing to come out of 2017, and i'm super excited to see where it goes!
