Found a Western Conifer Seed Bug, Leptoglossus occidentalis today! Also C.nemoralis and a hibernating Small Tortoiseshell. Bug hunt at Hay Bridge Nature Reserve 🤓

Soaked but happy! Richardson's Cackling Goose with thousands of Barnacle Geese at RSPB Mersehead. Also nearly stepped on a lovely Snow Bunting on the walk back!
Two female Black Grouse this morning at Geltsdale 🤓

Bit of a different approach to the fossil hunt today. Late high tide so on the beach till dark, which gave me a chance to look for Uranium glass. Managed to find a few pieces! 🤓
