On the Kyoshou side, the struggle that Motoku and Kakoton go through hit me harder this time as well. I really liked the depiction of the impact these inherited warlord spirits have on these guys.

And of course, the Nanyo crew was as fun as they were in the original. 😆

Rewatching Ikki Tousen is so interesting because there's so much about this show I just forgot about, and it's fun to rediscover. The last time I watched this I think I marathoned through a big chunk of it at once, so taking my time definitely helps me process it more.

I've begun my next big rewatch: Ikki Tousen!
I say "rewatch", but I've only seen Seasons 1 & 2 prior.
But now I own Great Guardians & Xtreme Xecutor as well, so I'm ready to plow through all 50 eps!

I'm in for many punches, kicks, ancient warlord lore, & shredded clothing! 👊

Did y'all know muscle man Masato from Little Busters shares a seiyuu with Knuckles the Echidna, and a few years after Little Busters happened, Sonic Boom became a thing and Knuckles became buff too.

Really makes you think.
