@SportIsARight There is a very similar problem which we talk about all the time in fat acceptance circles. I didn't realize the same thing happens to trans people, but of course it does. >:(

"Colorblindness" isn't a realistic answer to racism. You don't address a problem by refusing to see it.
Unless, of course, the actual problem you're trying to solve is that you yourself would rather not discuss race.

We could just exhort the GOP to become color-blind. But what if that doesn't work? What if they say "great, yes, we are color-blind, like MLK wanted" but continue to use race-based vote suppression tactics?
