Favourite medieval ruins? I'm building a list as I paint them which is helping, sort of, with my book proposal (on ruins) - lined up next I have Llanthony and Lilleshall to try. Any others I should have a go at? Discovering a love for the 13C (Pics: Winchelsea, Whitby, Bayham)

Putting talks together sometimes really kickstarts work in other areas for me. A forthcoming one for @CbgCornwall has done just that lately, the outcome being lots of new drawings! Romanesque so far at Tregony, Morwenstow and Egloskerry, with plans for more
