here’s a finished painting from a week ago! It’d been too long since I’ve made faces a focus of a painting, so I wanted to indulge myself and go ham with facial features. Had a lot of fun with the reds and greys! (30hrs) ❤️🩸
The subjects of this 7 hour sketch are my OCs, Adelinde and Celidé! I wanted to give two-person portraits a go, and there was no better way to dip my toes into it than these two, since Celidé is just a head! (The background is me dabbling in over-painting) 🍁
Another OC from January! This one is called Loralai, and they helped me try out a full-body piece. I usually stick to portraits from shoulder+up, so this was out of my comfort zone. Still don’t quite get clothing folds, but it’s a start! (5hrs)
A sketch from October! I wanted to draw another character of mine called Madeline, and I remember being really happy with how it turned out after scribbling away for 2 hours 🕯💚
From August, 2020! Took 12 hours experimenting with a square brush for this painting, rather than using my usual soft round brush. I actually think I still use this same square brush. Wanted to make the subject “glow” in this one 🌟🌿
back in early July of 2020 I was working with bolder outlines and blending colors. I didn’t have a specific plan for this piece and it took me 14 hours to finish!
