every day i think about antoine's proposed redesign in post-reboot archie sonic (which unfortunately never *officially* saw the light of day due to the comic's cancellation) and i'm just. god. the fucking madmen did it. they made him hot

Suffice to say a lot of its story is... mixed. Before Ian Flynn stepped in as main writer for the series, the quality of the comic was very hit or miss. It also produced a lot of these out-of-context panels that fans (myself included) like to joke about.
