- really love the premise of the mc being a male ballet dancer

- coming-of-age story about a boy who sings in a choir
- his and his friends’ journey of growing up & having to deal with change
- kamatani-sensei draws imagery so well, i swear
- same author as “our dreams at dusk”

medalist by tsuruma ikada

- a motivating story about a “too-old-for-her-sport” figure skater striving to achieve her dreams
- will inspire & make you reflect on your own aspirations in life, no matter what age you’re at
- gorgeous art, gorgeous characters, gorgeous plot

wondance by coffee

- ml who has never danced before steps into the world of dancing after seeing his schoolmate perform
- the author’s ability to visualize movement is everything
- they also list real songs for dance scenes which is a great plus when reading

beyond the clouds by nicke

- a young mechanic who longs for an adventure meets a girl with a broken wing
- i can’t explain why but their art just makes me happy
- another that makes me think of fairytale books
- one of my fave volume covers

- tiny glimpses into a couple’s day-to-day life
- the plot is quite simple, yet it’s still able to make u feel all warm
- the art’s truly what makes this manga such a delight to read
- fully colored
- reminds me of a fashion magazine

kono oto tomare by sakura amyuu

- a group of students meet through a high school koto club (traditional japanese instrument)
- tackles issues i’m sure a lot of people relate to
- the anime also did such a great job, esp w/ the music
- so much i want to say but!!! read it!!

deep sea aquarium magmell by kiyomi sugishita

- mc works at an aquarium
- centers around his experiences working there along w/ stories of the people he meets
- also contains sea creature fun facts every chapter
- deep water scares me but this is v beautiful
