No matter how simple a gem looks, it’s always gonna take more time to finish then I think! But this rhondite is a little less complicated than other gem and minerals I have been painting lately. I just love the colors and that glassy, transparent look.
I’ve been painting a lot of cooler colored gem and minerals lately, so here’s a throwback to this fire-orange rhodochrosite I painted back in the spring.
Are there any warm colored crystals that you’d like to see me paint?
Aaaand I’m back! Enjoy this icy blue fluorite ❄️

Finished this weeks #liquidpaintingchallenge just in time for the new one!
This was my first time trying digital charcoal as opposed to the more traditional, carbon-based stuff. Pretty happy with the results and my fingers are still clean 😄Thanks Procreate!
If you’ve had your eye on a Gem and Mineral painting, now is the best time to snatch it up before someone else does! These pieces have been going off to wonderful homes recently, so don’t miss your chance!
All art is 25% this month on my website!
I haven’t had time to do #liquidpaintchallenge in awhile, but I’m ready to get back to it!
In the meantime, enjoy this unfinished digital painting from a few weeks ago!
This geode slice was painted from a real life model. Shout out to @miraclemineral for sending it my way!
Last week’s #liquidpaintingchallenge
I didn’t finish it, but I like where it was going. Onto the next one!
An old mixed media piece I made when living in San Diego and this was the view from our balcony! This one’s got watercolor, pen, charcoal and soft pastels.
