Federico Fellini's 'The Book of Dreams'

For almost 30 years, filmmaker Federico Fellini notated and illustrated his dreams every morning. He called this “night work”. Here are illustrations from a book collecting his notes and illustrations.

“Empire of Death”

Sometime between 1861-1865 Félix Nadar descended into the catacombs of Paris. Working in difficult conditions with heavy equipment he succeeded in creating the first photographic documentation of this realm of the dead.

Onkalo is a spent nuclear fuel repository in Finland. The site is large enough to accept canisters of spent fuel for around one hundred years. Once full it will be sealed with the hope that the site will never be discovered and reopened by future humans.
