Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan is a painting by Ilya Repin. It has been attacked twice, once with a knife and once by a drunk visitor who smashed through the protective glass surrounding the painting and fought off the crowds with a metal security pole.

Rembrandt's The Night Watch (1642) has been vandalised on several occasions, twice with knives and once with acid. The slashes were created by an unemployed school teacher suffering from a mental disorder and are still faintly visible today..
