- a very bad choice for your first tales game (!!)
- still pretty fun
- ancient tho

- the new one!
- it's very different from the rest of the series but still fun
- Alphen has a sword that sets his arm on fire haha what a moron
- Elisanne and Kisara are the same charhrjrhrrjhr
- you can go fishing
- tbh i dont have much to say i still havent finished it

BERSERIA
- prequel to Zestiria, but play whichever you want
- hoo boy if you liked the Syndicate subplot in DL youre gonna ADORE this game
- edgy hedgy
- One of the best casts tbh theyre all feral (even the child)
- Elisanne and Eleanor are the same character
- On Steam and PS4

XILLIA (1&2) Duology
- X1 is popular, X2 not as much
- Gameplay's raw
- Jude is a med student who meets God
- Games about the resolve to stand behind your choices (ESPECIALLY X2)
- Milla is like a serious Ilia
- also Milla hot
- X1 is relatively easy- great first game!
- PS3 only

SYMPHONIA 2
- play the first one instead
- Emil is a good boy with a demon in his head
- If you thought Mym/Euden was fun you'll find Marta/Emil hysterical
- you catch pokemon but its not fun
- Trapped on Wii and PS3 for being only okay

ABYSS
- Another fan fave that's usually in people's Top 5
- solid battle system
- Luke fon Fabre is like if Euden was a douche who gets better (the parallels only deepen later in the story)
- Heinwald lovers will enjoy Jade
- actually everyone likes jade tbh
- PS2/3DS only

VESPERIA
- top tier
- my second favorite in the series
- Yuri Lowell is so good he's banned from official popularity polls
- Has a pirate that breaks the game, just like DL
- you can PLAY AS THE DOG
- Story about morality and sticking to your path
- Get it on sale on Switch!!!!

This one was a little controversial when it came out due to certain story decisions, but I still think it's solid. Repeat: Sorey is a good boy. He's like if Euden was Jesus and Jesus was gay for John

Another ok starting point
good when there aint a bich in your ear tellin you its bad
Sorey is even more a hero boy than Euden which is impressive
Elisanne and Alisha are the same character
you like dragondrive? this game's main gimmick is basically that

- Timeless classic
- Actually follows a lot of Dragalia's story beats, the first arc is basically Chapters 1-5
- Lloyd Irving is a top tier protag who can count
- Colette is like if Zethia was a goober
- A little old-school but still a decent entry point
