akira yuuki
azumas name with this particular kanji means ‘east’!
apparently one of its alternate readings can be read as akira!
again depending on kanji, akira can also mean ‘bright/clear/ideal’, fitting in with yuuki’s tailor occupation and the flamboyant clothes he makes!
kai yukita
while phonetically similar, this name is inspired by the kanji of guys original name!
gai with the particular kanji its written in means ‘shore/horizon’, so something sea related made sense to me!
kai can be written to mean ‘ocean’!
mawari hanaoka
tsumugis name refers to silk, and the verb it derives from (tsumugu) means ‘to weave’, or ‘to spin (yarn)’
taking it in a literal sense, the action of spinning is ‘mawaru’!
mawari means the ‘circumference’, so still in line with the spinning imagery!
shizuka mikasa
hisokas name is written with the kanji meaning ‘secret’!
this kanji can also be read as shizuka, and depending on the kanji, it can be also be read as ‘quiet’!
eikou arikawa
homares original name can mean ‘glory’ in one context!
with this i just found another word that meant ‘glory’, and came up with eikou!
its also fun to note that eikou is written with the kanji for ‘light’, like how arikawa brings takatsu into the spotlight!
tetsu takatsu
i saw the ‘to help’ meaning from tasukus regular name and found the verb ‘tetsudau’!
the verb (tasukeru) tasukus name comes from is used in more dire and urgent situations
tetsudau is more casual like ‘lending a hand’ where both parties put in mutual effort (wink
