Idk when I had said dream but it was me playing a sonic rom hack or fan game and there was some zone that looked like a stage play from both the scene and behind it. so, i decided to draw a very bare bones visual example of it.

Whoa, apparently the level tint I used for a level of mine works with other backgrounds so i went ahead and screenshoted the ones I liked.
The sonic cd special stage background is one of the best from these four.
